Safety & privacy

SkoolGo is built around one rule: show each person only what their current role and relationship require, and keep evidence for the workflows where a family, operator, or school genuinely needs it later.

Least-privilege access

Every screen is scoped to the viewer’s current authorized role and relationship — a guardian sees their own child’s trip, a driver sees their assigned run, an operator or school admin sees the routes and students their organization is connected to.

Organization controls

Sensitive features such as live tracking and ETA ranges are switched on by the connected operator or school, not on by default, and can be scoped per route.

Audit and evidence approach

Key operational actions — attendance, handover, safety checks, arrivals, absences — retain time-stamped evidence where the workflow requires it. This supports dispute review; it is not a legal conclusion of fault.

Support access

Platform support staff use time-limited, purpose-scoped access that is itself logged. Support access is not unrestricted staff access to every record.

What we retain, and for how long

A full data-retention schedule is still pending owner and counsel sign-off; deletion scheduling remains deliberately disabled in production until that review completes. The table below summarizes the current proposed approach.

CategoryApproach
Trip, attendance, handover, and safety evidenceRetained for a provisional dispute/safety window after trip completion; contract and local limitation-period review is still required before this is finalized.
Precise location samplesRetained for a technical floor of 90 days; open or investigating incidents are excluded from ordinary deletion.
MessagesRetained for a provisional window after a thread closes; incident-linked messages are retained under hold.
Payment declarations, receipts, and ledger recordsRetained for a longer accounting-driven period to match Singapore and Philippines recordkeeping rules; longer still under an unresolved audit, claim, or legal hold.
Support-access and security audit logsRetained for a provisional security/accountability window.

Honest limitations

  • SkoolGo has not been independently certified, and this website does not claim any regulatory validation or compliance badge.
  • No security measure eliminates all risk. Access controls, evidence, and audit logs reduce risk; they do not guarantee it away.
  • Some notification categories and provider delivery remain dependent on production deployment and credentials not yet in place.
  • Attachment and photo uploads pass through authorization and malware-quarantine controls, but this is not a certification that any file is malware-free.
