Markets: Singapore and the Philippines

What SkoolGo does

SkoolGo coordinates school transport among guardians, transport operators, drivers/assistants, and schools: route and trip administration, attendance and handover evidence, live vehicle-location sharing where authorized, safety/incident records, messages, payment declarations and operator accounting records, support access, and user-supplied photos or attachments.

Data we process

• Account and contact data: name, email, phone where provided, authentication identifiers, organization memberships, roles, and device push tokens.
• Child and guardian data: student identity, school and route assignments, guardian relationships, attendance, pickup/drop-off instructions, absences, and approved pickup people.
• Transport and safety data: vehicles, routes, stops, trips, timestamps, exact vehicle/location samples when live tracking is enabled, arrival/wait/no-show evidence, handover records, safety checks, and incidents.
• Communications and files: messages, profile and pickup-person photos, attendance photos, incident attachments, and payment-receipt images.
• Payment records: declarations that an off-app payment was made, amount, currency, method, comments, confirmation/correction history, and operator ledger entries. SkoolGo does not itself process card or bank payments.
• Technical and audit data: security/audit events, feature settings, support-access sessions and logs, upload metadata, device/platform details needed for app operation, and error information.

Why we process it

We process data to provide contracted school-transport operations; protect children and verify pickup, attendance, and handover; deliver authorized location/ETA and notifications; maintain operational, safety, dispute, audit, and financial records; secure and support the service; and comply with law. The organization that enrolled the user or student may be the controller for some records, with SkoolGo acting as its service provider.

Sharing

Data is shown only to authorized users whose current role and relationship require it — depending on the feature, this may include the child's guardians, assigned driver/assistant, connected transport operator, and connected school staff. Platform support personnel receive only time-limited, purpose-scoped access that is logged. Infrastructure providers may process data under contract; the final published policy will name the actual production vendors and cross-border transfer safeguards.

We do not sell personal data. The current app contains no advertising SDK and does not use personal data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Location and notifications

Exact location is collected only from an authorized active trip workflow, for transport safety, pickup/drop-off evidence, authorized live tracking, and locally estimated ETA ranges. Access depends on live relationships, roles, permissions, and feature settings. Push notifications intentionally avoid coordinates and sensitive narrative details.

Retention and deletion

We retain records only for their stated purpose, legal/business needs, contracts, and active legal, audit, investigation, preservation, or dispute holds — seeSafety & privacy for the current proposed schedule. Holds override ordinary deletion. Users may request access, correction, restriction, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or account/data deletion — seeAccount deletion & privacy choices.

Security

SkoolGo uses tenant isolation, row-level authorization, least-privilege database grants, server-side authority re-checks, append-only evidence, short-lived signed storage access, malware quarantine for sensitive attachments, and logged support access. No security measure eliminates all risk.

Children

SkoolGo processes children's data only for school-transport purposes under the authority and instructions of the relevant guardian, school, and/or transport operator.

International transfers

Production hosting region and vendors are not yet selected. Before launch, contracts and this policy must describe where data is processed and the safeguards used for transfers outside Singapore or the Philippines.

Changes and complaints

Material changes will be communicated through the app or registered contact channel. Singapore users may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission; Philippine users may contact the National Privacy Commission, after first giving us an opportunity to resolve the concern where appropriate.
